Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 10:36PM I photographed Baby J* when he was a newborn, and now he is 5 months old! He has THE BIGGEST baby blues I have ever seen. His mama and I have been friends for many years and I am looking forward to watching him get even bigger!
Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 10:11PM This is my first (of hopefully many!) couples from my alma mater. Before Connie contacted me I had never met her, but I did know her brother through a mutual friend. Connie & I talked pretty frequently before having her engagement session, and I was so excited to meet them! They brought a couple of different outfits to the session & I couldn't have picked out better coordinated pieces. I am sure their wedding will be fabulous!
As we were going around to different locations, we walked past a guy playing basketball & it turns out both Connie & Austin played in high school so we politely asked the man if we could borrow his ball for a few minutes.. which turned in to some pretty cute shots!
Connie & Austin..I had a GREAT evening with you all and I am very much looking forward to shooting your wedding!
Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 04:45PM Heidi & Adam's special day started out by getting ready at the Courtyard Marriott. Their ceremony took place at St. Peter's on Capital Hill and the reception was at the lovely Capital Hill Club.
We could not have asked for a better day! Although it looked like it might rain, it didn't, and the clouds provided relief from the heat. Heidi & Adam created a beautiful story through the little comments and smiles shared during the ceremony to the way they constantly embraced during the pictures because they were so happy to be united as husband and wife. Everyone had a great time at the reception and Heidi impressed me with her great dance moves & carefree attitude as she sang at the top of her lungs during her favorite songs. Surrounded by family & friends this is not a wedding that anyone will forget anytime soon!

I believe that the below picture is one of my favorites ever. When Heidi first picked up her bouquet, she was dressed and just stuck her face down in the flowers with a big smile on her face. I believe this is the moment when she thought, "I cannot believe today is the day I am getting married!" and was overcome with joy.
The love that Heidi & Adam share for each other is refreshing. Because of their love for each other, I was so excited to call my own husband after the wedding just to say "I Love You!"

Seniors are not too much younger than me and a lot of times sessions feel like I'm just hanging out with a friend. Myiesha said she was a little camera shy, but from looking at these images i'm calling her bluff on that!
Myiesha..have a GREAT senior year! I may be calling you to see if you want to model for me in the future :)
Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 10:15PM The Mom is definitely outnumbered in THIS family..ALL boys! I had the pleasure of traveling back home to do this session, and I definitely got my exercise for the day by chasing the younger boys around.
